Twitter is beta testing its latest feature: the “Twitter Business Center,” Mashable reported.
According to the company “only a handful of accounts have these features presently;” however, Twitter expects the list of company’s using the business center to grow, Mashable reported.
The business center gives businesses the ability to accept direct messages on the service from their followers, regardless of whether they follow that person or not.
A small group of businesses received emails inviting them to test the “the Twitter Toolkit,” Mashable reported.

…and look for the ‘Business’ tab. From there you’ll be directed to fill out some information which will help us verify your business or organization.”
After a businesses activate their count, it is automatically verified. Twitters is expanding its verfied accounts program to include brands and organizations.Twitter verified accounts have been limited to individuals thus far, Mashable reported.
Twitter hopes the new service will be a value to both consumers and businesses by improving the method of communication – addressing custom service issues.
