Thrushes, warblers, tanagers and more than 350 other species of birds flying in the southern migration this winter now have a place to rest their tired wings.
That! Company opened a rest stop, dubbed That! Bird Sanctuary, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 in front a jubilant staff to welcome weary winged travelers .
“That! Bird Sanctuary is a welcome respite for our fine feathered friends after their arduous winter flight from the northern climes,” said That! Company CEO Ken Knorr. “It also creates a peaceful break area for employees who love to watch and listen to the lovely song birds that grace our tropical paradise every winter.”
The sanctuary comes replete with luxurious amenities for thirsty, hungry fowl, such as a spring-fed bath and smorgasbord of millet, corn and safflower to fill their crops.
